Emiratisation: The Differences That Define Everything
What happens after Emirati talent joins an organisation in the UAE private sector?
This research explores the gap between how organisations perceive their support for Emirati graduates and the actual experiences of these graduates as they transition into the private sector.
Developed jointly by Riyam Management Consultancy and The Talent Advisory Partners, the study gathers insights from 108 respondents, including 55 Emirati graduates and 53 HR professionals and line managers.
The findings underscore the significance of addressing HR challenges in the UAE, emphasizing manager capability, psychological safety, effective onboarding, cultural alignment, and career clarity. They encourage organisations to look beyond recruitment numbers and to consider the crucial everyday experiences that enable individuals to contribute, develop, and remain engaged in their roles.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?
We understand the UAE because it is home.
Riyam combines deep cultural intelligence with over two decades of HR leadership experience and research-led thinking, focusing on addressing HR challenges in the UAE.
We listen before we advise, ensuring that our strategies support Emiratisation by highlighting the value of Emirati talent. We question assumptions and rely on what the evidence shows, considering the actual experiences of individuals in the UAE private sector.
Because the strongest people strategies are not copied from somewhere else.
They are built around the organisation and the people they are meant to serve.
